Our children are gifts from GOD. They arrive in our lives in their own time and of their own choosing. They float around the ether, searching for suitable parents, choose us, and then show up. They learn some lessons from us, and then move on. This is the way it is supposed to be.
We take our children into our hearts and souls, nurture them, laugh and cry with them, offer healing and support. We learn just as much from them as they do from us. All the while knowing a chain of events is in motion. We know from the day they arrive a time will come when they have learned all they can from us, and we must pass the torch to the next teacher on their path. This is the way it is supposed to be.
When the time comes, we pass the torch with as much grace and control as we can muster up. Of course our children are always with us, they love us unconditionally forever, as we love them the same. They will always seek our words of wisdom, encouragement and support. After all they have been our biggest fans, looked up to us, believed in us, even when we did not believe in ourselves. My biggest fear was falling from Grace, no longer being the Hero, no longer having all the answers. The fall wasn’t so bad, I was cushioned by the understanding that this is the way it is supposed to be.

As a parent-soon-to-be, this post is one of many messages from the ether that i'm on the right path... The circle of life continues, and so far I'm convinced that wherever I am is the right place for me to be now. I hope that that continues to be the truth for you too.
And don't forget, all of your loving students at Rise look up to you as the one with "ALL the answers", about yoga, at least. (grin).
Stay graceful,
with love,
Esteban
