I was mortified to find out my students of 2 plus years do not know what an Om symbol looks like! Here I am at Canyon Ranch on our annual Yoga & Meditation Retreat, sitting in a lecture about mantras & malas with my students, and one of the pipes up and says "Oh is that what an Om symbol looks like? I've never seen one before!".
Shock-Horror-Amazement-Embarrassment! How could my students of 2 plus years not know what an Om symbol looks like?! So I asked them all, sure enough, none of them knew. What kind of yoga-instructor-slash-studio-owner am I? Then I realized if you don't show them how will they know, there are flowers on our studio walls, announcements of upcoming events and not a single Om. Well at least there is one on our web site, some saving grace there. This must be rectified, this will be rectified. So...watch for a most spectacular Om symbol to appear!
